Issue CDXLVIII: The SoCs Edition
The Tao of Color Grading Newsletter
Curated links of news, reviews, thoughts, career advice, and humor for professional Video / Film Colorists & Finishers. Delivered Sundays.
Next weekend is a national holiday here in the US of A. The Newsletter will be off and will return on Sunday, 12 July.

In DaVinci Resolve-land: I wish I could take odds on the Over/Under of Resolve 17 being released between now and then! I wonder how many of us would have taken the Over that the Public Beta ships by the end of April - much less the end of June? Any takers on the July 31 Over?

I'll see you in two weeks. Fire up that grill! Stay healthy.

Happy Grading!

(and remember - if you have a story that's a fit for this Newsletter, hit reply or email it to 'newsletter@taoofcolor.com'! Include a quick reason for the suggested link.)

Not Fun. Not funny. Simply cool: "If you’re in an area affected by a dust plume, don’t forget to look up. You may see odd-looking skies or stunning sunsets, created by interlocking chains of cause and effect that link vast regions on both sides of the tropical Atlantic and sweep us into the drama of our spinning planet."
In the 6th grade, Asimov's 'Foundation' series was the first trilogy I ever read. He launched my love of sci-fi and epic storytelling. I have mixed feelings about it coming to screen. But I am about to pick this up again for my main summer read.

Th- th- th- that's all folks! See you in two Sundays.
