The Craft
  • [video] Buy My (Used) Car - how do you create a legendary commercial to sell your used 1996 Suzuki Vitara? This is how. But why isn't this down below in Funnies. Watch, we think you'll understand.(youtube.com)
  • The Grading Style of American Gods - "in a lot of her scenes the image is flooded with red, so you pretty much have to go with what just feels right for the scene.  There is really no “right” answer for the color in these type of images.  Just what helps progress the story and develop her character." (robbessette.com)
  • Displays for the Brain, Part 1 - "this is the first part of a 2-part series of articles about how our brains interact with the real world, and how that makes us think that the virtual world is actually real." Pithy but interesting if you're new to these concepts. (displaydaily.com)
  • ACES Workflow for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - "in simple terms, the neutralized raw image plus CDL equaled the on-set look. The files were graded within the ACEScc color space." Interesting stuff. (studiodaily.com)
  • Telling The Handmaid’s Tale with Dolby Vision - "in the HDR grade, we took the muted look and keyed back the red and cyan to accentuate key colors. We would also emphasize an object art-directed in the shot — a vase or a flower — for a punch of color." Not an article, just two quotes. But they're informative quotes. (studiodaily.com)
