Tetrachromacy Online Test: Busted

Last week I knew I was right to express my doubts about this online test. Given how popular that link was, I'm posting the follow-up at the top of this week's Newsletter.

According to the Urban Myth website Snopes, an expert on tetrachromacy specifically addressed the '25% of the population' claim:

"a color vision researcher at the Medical College of Wisconsin, estimated that half of the female population has a fourth cone in their eyes, only a small number of those people can actually see additional colors."

More details about the problems with that online test at the link. (snopes.com via @pixeljammer)
