  • [video] Zerogon - spend a few minutes watching the colorful short film by filmmakers Joshua Planz & John Mattiuzzi. John emailed us to say, “we shot this on the Red Epic at 5K.  I did most of the compositing and initial color correction in After Effects. And for the Post-conform, after the VFX shots were done, I brought everything into Resolve, and spiced things up a bit, as well as matching the shots. But it was minimal work in Resolve. Since every shot was so heavy in VFX, we spent a lot of time in After Effects keeping the colors consistent for each shot." (vimeo.com)
The Next Step is a Doozy
  • [video] Ultimate party trick? - want to make a splashy entrance to a pool party atop a 34 story building? Start with a 1200 foot base jump right into the action. Oh, and did we mention that it was at night? Extra points if you don’t miss. (youtube.com)
A Step Too Far?
  • A Tale of Two Pizzas - a U.S. Federal Judge denies trademark protection over the flavor of pizza. Two New York pizzerias were duking it out in court. We love that the judge used colors for his ruling in the case. Pizza and colors. Only in New York. Who’d have thunk. (hollywoodreporter.com)
