From the Publisher

Two quick things:

  • First - Last week I mentioned the Flanders Scientific Open House at the end of October. I've confirmed my plans to be there. If you stop by, be sure to say hi.
  • Second - Our Mixing Light DaVinci Resolve 11 training got pushed back a week as we solve, well, gamma issues between various training movies.
  • Of course, since it's color correction training, shipping with mis-matched brightness values doesn't make much sense.
  • We think the problem has been solved and we'll be shipping next week!
  • I'll see you in 7 days.
Happy Grading!

  • [iOS app] Formats - longtime Tao reader, Zak Ray of Gray Hour Media, recently developed an app that is a triple threat. It’s an encyclopedia of video formats, the cameras that use them, and also a space calculator. $1.99(US). You can get more info at Gray Hour Media’s website. (grayhourmedia.com) You can download the app from iTunes.  (itunes.apple.com)
  • [video] Everytime: Share Your Influences for a Project - Every want to share a short snippet of a video to show team members as an idea? Which then starts an entire thread of idea sharing? Here's a new nifty solution just to do that. (mentorless.com)
